Stop users being able to overbook a resource
Avoid scheduling issues by being able to lock down a resource's time. If someone is trying to overbook a resource, it simply doesn't let them.

Pull out the menu
Ability to stretch out menu to the side when booking resource/project so that you can view the entire project name. Sometime we have multiple projects linked to a single client and you can't see the full title of the project so you have to refer to your own records and match that to the number.

View Projects in date order
Would be great if we could view the projects when on the scheduler to be viewed in order of start date.

Set required resources during a phase of a project
I would like the possibility to set the required amount of resources (hours) to be put into a project during a phase of the project.
For example, I need have e requirement to put in 300 hours before a milestone in mid February, but after that, I only have 200 hours for the rest of the year. This is not supported without splitting the project into two.

Identify leave on grouped rows view of schedule
The new grid layout is awesome, at a glance you can see who's got the right utilisation. It would also be useful to be able to see at a glance who has leave booked in the "Grouped Rows" view (so you can scroll down the list of resources to spot leave events coming up).
Currently leave shows as "at capacity" - so it looks the same as a project booking in the grouped rows view. This could be achieved by a setting that allows you to "show leave" on the grouped rows view with a custom colour or by creating…

Capacity and Coverage planning
I would like a view where I can see how many resources I have assigned to a project (or project group) It would also be nice to be able to set a minimum number of resources (per hour) on a project and have a "heatmap" to show when coverage is low.

Create a google apps plugin to allow for meetings which I accept in my google calendar to be pushed into hubplanner via API
I would like a google apps plugin which listens for when new meetings are entered into my calendar and automatically pushes them to Hubplanner.
Ideally would allow some control of which meetings get pushed to hubplanner

Option to attach a file to a booked time, like a brief for example.

Overlap Scheduling
[ In Resource View ]
When viewing an individual resource, overlapped bookings can be created by dragging across any of the unused rows in the view. Each booking in this view would have its own row, rather than sharing one.
[ In Project View or All Bookings View ]
Provide a blank row for each resource or space beneath existing bookings to click and start a new, overlapping booking.

Floating date range
We request a possibility to set a floating date range in the Reports part of the tool.
Right now you can set This/Last/Next ... Week/Month/Quarter/Year.
Would be good with the possibility to set for example "Rolling 12 months". Maybe a floating period with input of the unit based on Week/Month/Quarter/Year.

Possibility to turn on warning message when using drag & drop
It would be good to have a settings option where you could activate a warning message to be displayed when you use drag & drop to move scheduled time. Especially when you’re new to Hub Planner, it is quite easy to drag & drop by mistake and move a booking to the wrong resource.
An alternative would be a “regret” function for the latest activity (which I don’t think exist).4 votes -
Outlook Meetings Display in HubPlanner
When booking a meeting in Outlook calendar, it automatically pulls through and shows as a meeting/event in HubPlanner schedule

Include public holidays in reports
Include public holidays in report so we can create an 'absence overview report'.

Daily Rates rather than just hourly
A daily rate option rather than just hourly would make a huge difference to day rated projects, as you have to define the hourly rate (day rate/7.5) which means that you can end up with many decimal place day rates showing on reports, which can skew the actual and budget numbers.

Booking Tasks and Project location info on mobile view
Booking Tasks to be able to viewed on Mobile Devices by the people that they are assigned to. Also be able to view the info or at least the location address of the project they are booked to from the mobile device. The true power of hubplanner will be able to enable the mobile users that are being dispatched to the bookings to have the information needed of Where, When and What do I do.

Separating the Projects Phases, Milestones and Clients setting.
If possible, I think it would be great to separate the Projects Phases, Milestones and Clients setting. The setting is not separated into 'view/add/edit phases and milestones of projects I'm a part of'. Right now the setting is a blanket for all phases and milestones regardless of whether you are a part of the project or not.

Create Mobile App
Create a mobile app so we can stay logged in with easy access instead of saving the browser or having to login to the browser repeatedly. Also, increase the amount of changes you can make in the format/layout of the mobile browser/app layout. There isn't anything in the settings that allows us to customize our instance's mobile functionality.

Show budget hours on the schedular project view
All of our team could really benefit from the budget hours showing next to the scheduled and reported hours on the schedular view for a project. In addition, it was a great feature that a project went to red when it was over reported. Is it possible to reinstate this feature?

Timesheet improvements
- the ability to add a note when rejecting timesheets and e-mail sent to inform user of rejected timesheets and the need to re-submit correctly
- Ability to add a project by default to the timesheet without having to add to the scheduler
- Ability to copy previous weeks timesheet into the current week
- Ability to remove the date filter on timesheet approvals section
