Define Budget and Cost Rate per Role on same Project
In our business resources work in different roles with different rates on the same project. We are able to define the billing rate per resource, however, for each role a different (hourly) budget applies which we currently cannot replicate. See the following Example:
- Project A: Role 1 -> Budget=24h, Daily Rate $1.000
- Project A: Role 2 -> Budget=64h, Daily Rate $1.250
Currently we have to create two sub-projects for Role 1 und Role 2 to be able to report and monitor the budget per role separately.
Will there be an update in the future releases so that we can define budget and billing rate on a role level, but the same project?
This is urgently needed for our daily business. In case of viable workaround please let me know!
Thanks in advance!

Yes, exactly. We need the ability to charge different rates by the task, or by the phase.
I know you recently added the ability to override the rate on a per booking basis, but it doesn't carry through to the timesheet side of things. This makes my reports inaccurate.I look at billing and forecasting - scheduled vs actual spend reports as a primary indicator of project health. But the report is incorrect because the actual spend doesn't multiply hours times the same rate as the overridden budget spend.
Also FYI this seems the same as previous feature request "Custom rate per project role".
