Harvest API integration
At Kersvers we use Harvest to measure time on projects. I would really love to see a way to integrate Harvest in Hubplanner. That way we can combine Time, Resources and measure how resources are using their time. The missing link imo. :)
We have documented an example using our API how you can integrate Hub Planner with Harvest. We look forward to hearing about your integrations https://github.com/hubplanner/API/tree/master/Examples/harvest

Any update? This has been around for over a year; that's a long time in the SaaS world!

Hi,
can we get an update on this feature. Inserting a link in the notes of the project is not really helpful to have an efficient time tracking system/approval.
Thanks for updating us.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you all for your patience. We have been super busy with lots of other new features on Hub Planner, and January 2014 is going to be an exciting month of roll outs for all to use and enjoy.
We know a lot of you want to have an integration between Hub Planner and Harvest and that is what we plan on implementing after these other features are out the door. It's not nice playing the waiting game on features, so we do apologise that this integration is not yet 100% ready to roll out.
I do encourage anyone with any expectations of how you want the integration to work between both services to continue to reach out to us via hello@hubplanner.com and put Harvest Integration as the subject line. The more specifics we here, the tighter we can make the integration work.
One of the most popular requests we have on this integration to date, and most likely a phase 1 is to be able to click any booking on the grid and start a Harvest Timer / Report time on that booking. So Hub Planner would push booking info -> Harvest where your project will exist and the time gets tracked. If you use Trello, they offer something similar to start a Timer from Trello, I think Jira may do this as well. In this scenario Hub Planner would be used as the "planning" tool where Harvest would be used to record the actual time.
We know this is a priority for you, so please bare with us just a little longer and we will be able to get a first release out soon.
Kind Regards

Hello, could you please update us with the Harvest integration and when we could expect the first release? Any details on what is planned would be even better! Cheers.

Hi, I'm interested in the Trello integration as well. Do you have any updates on this?
-
Hi, the Harvest integration is on track and we are doing our due diligence on functionality / IA in order to make sure we deliver functionality which can help everyones workflow.
We have received suggestions from clients on this feature giving their desired workflow, and like most businesses work flow differs from agency to agency, so it is taking a little longer to define a scope for a first release to make everyone happy.
Of course if anyone has a workflow suggestion of how you see Harvest and Hub Planner working together, please feel free to post up here or email us.
I will keep you all updated here, thanks for your patience.

How can we see when it is planned? :)

We have a custom build time registration tool for our employees. I would like to use an API for getting/keeping them in-line as well. Because we are a software company...any API based on web services will do...

Hi Kashif,
Support for external authentication providers are currently not on our roadmap but it is a valid and interesting point. I will bring it up on our next feature planning meeting.
I'll pm you our current phase 1 plan of Harvest integration
Thanks,

We use harvest as well in addition to other collaboration tools.
Can you forward the phase 1 approach to me?Is Google Apps on the roadmap for authentication?

Hi There,
I emailed you about a phase 1 approach to this integration. Would be very interested to know how this would work for you?
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion and great point. Funnily enough we were just discussing this exact integration yesterday along with using the Trello API as well. We need to take a deeper dive on the development side but will keep you in the loop as we progress through sketching this out..
