Longer than a 6 week view
I am working to resources, plan headcount, and utilization for next quarter, and would love to be able to see a view that has a much longer timeframe.
I think 4 months would be ideal, potentially, abstracted to showing only the major tasks on a weekly basis.

Having a quarterly view or year look-ahead would be useful. Especially for those that occasionally stretch the browser across two monitors.

While we are working this out, please take a look at all the new reports which can generate views up to 52 weeks. The Availability report and Booked Reports are quite useful to look ahead and achieve similar stats that you are looking for.

I am using Stylebot Chrome extension to tweak a few CSS to make it more compact and it is a much better overview of my resources on the vertical dimension. However having a more than 6 weeks on the horizontal dimension would certainly be a lot better too : http://o7.no/1cspH3n

Dan is absolutely bang on with this request. I am very surprised you wouldn't think more than 6 weeks out since projects would be longer than that. Looking at resources for less than 3 months out is very short sighted!!
This really needs to be a priority. Not sure why it isn't.

Even a way to scroll horizontally would be handy -- when scheduling across months or boundaries, it's hard to see the exact timeframe you want with the arrow buttons.

Hi,
Thanks for your comment. Although it is possible for us to expand the number of weeks in the grid, we have tested this functionality out and anything over 6 weeks starts to present problems both on the performance side (as a lot of rendering goes on depending on how many bookings you have) and visually (depending on your resolution, trying to fit a lot of grid into a small space creates issues)
We do have on our list to look into expanding the views to 12 weeks and 18 weeks but for now 6 weeks will be the cap until we can be assured the performance and the legibility won't be affected.
Thanks for the suggestion, we will definitely keep it alive and come up with something as soon as we can.
