Send an email notification to resources
Why don't send an email notification to every resource in the morning filled with his tasks/projects to do today
We are using a lot of tools in our daily business and we (the project managers) know that our resources won't use another tool. They would prefer to receive an email notification with their daily amount to do:
- Which project / projects (including the notes to this project)
- Which time ammount

Hey there. We are in the QA (Quality Assurance) side of testing out Email Notifications prior to release. We'll keep you guys posted. It's coming, we promise :)

Its unclear if this proposed feature is dead in the water. Notifications would be awesome! Especially for the timesheet module when managers need to approve timesheets.

Hi,
I don't have specifics to share, but it is planned for release early Q1. So it will be available in stages as part of the Vacation request notifications and then other notifications are being rolled into the feature.
Thanks for your patience, it is coming soon.

I could agree about using iCal integration but it doesn't include the notes that are really important to understand the details of the booking!

we use a lot of the color coding for our events in Hub Planner and that does not transfer to outlook. So we do not like to view the schedule in the ical format in outlook. We are not using anything else. So I would still like to see something be created in Hubplanner where it will notify of schedule changes.

I agree, I would like my team to be able to receive an email when an event or project is added or changed on their schedule. They are booked for last minute trips and it would be nice for me not to have to notify them every time.

the iCal integration would work if it could include the notes!!! Without notes unfortunately they are not so useful because the resources can only see the name of the booking and nothing else.

Hi,
A quick update here. We are aware some people want email notifications and the reason it has been not prioritized yet is due to the success of the iCal integration. The team can pull down all their project bookings in real time to their own Gmail, Apple or Outlook calendars and see their schedule there without needing to log into Hub Planner to view it. We certainly have emails on our radar to implement , and understand they can offer more of a conversation, but getting the message of changing bookings to your team could be a nice workaround to use the iCal implementation.
There is a reference guide here to get you up and running.

I hope that works for some of the folks waiting here?

Goog idea! Last week I planned in Excel, now I use Hub. I used to mail the Excel planning every morning, and at the end of the day my colleagues would reply on that e-mail with the status of eacht project (a short log as you wish)

I agree, we need a e-mail notification to our resources that they could have an ability to see some changes not loggining every time to check them at program.
