View by client
We hold a weekly meeting where we talk through projects by client and resource accordingly. A holistic client view would be essential for us to continue past the trial period.
3 votesHi, you can do this via the custom fields or groups. If you set up your clients in custom fields you can easily filter out the scheduler by client. Or you can use a group as a client name and filter that way in the group itself.

Reports on booked time (and cost) VS budget time (and cost) VS timesheets
I would really like to be able to create a report which pulls through from the project to aid forecasting a little better.
I.e. you'd be able to see the time which has been booked (e.g 10-hours, therefore £1,500), and the actual budget this links to.(e.g. the budgeted hours are 5-hours, meaning that the budget is over).
The current functionality reports a false positive that the business is foretasted to receive much more money that it actually is each month, if the project is running over time and over budget.1 voteNow completed within the new Hub Planner Reporting function – https://hubplanner.com/the-best-resource-project-reporting-templates/

report in days not hours
We budget and plan our time in days and it would be useful to be able to use Hub Planner that way, having a clear vision of our operations in days. That way we wouldn't have to converte hours in days every time we would like to analyse some data in one of the reports

Allow team members to see the rest of the team without having to be an Account Manager
If an employee is set as having the team role, they can only see themselves. For them to see the rest of the team that they are part of, I need to set them as an account manager - however this then allows them to view all employees and projects even if they aren't part of the project. We would need staff to only be able to see the details for the projects they are part of.
19 votesWe have now updated the role rights to allow for this.

Vacation request option
We really need our staff to be able to request time for vacation, which when authorised automatically populated within their timeline. Detailing if any other staff are of during selected dates would help reduce conflicts on projects/sites
A running total of authorised vacation dates would also be fantastic.

a single role (Project Manager) that can approve or reject submitted timesheets
When resources book their time against different projects, I'd like to see an option for the assigned Project Manager of those projects to be able to accept or reject the submitted timesheets.

Projectlead in sidebar instead of due date
we don´t work with due dates, so we don´t need them in the sidebar.
But what we really need is the name of the Project lead.
F.i. the possibility to show a custom field instead of the due date.2 votes -
Hide projects with 0 (planned) hours in reports

mobile
Please create a Mobile app. I was trying to view the grid on my iphone and I couldn't see the sidebar where the resources are. I also couldn't see past the 21st of March.
The text in other areas also gets jumbled and out of format.

Color coded utilization bar
on the Reports page, if the Resource is over 100% utilized, it should go to red, or even orange before reaching the 100% mark.

Better way to define milestones for projects
The current way of defining milestones is not very comfortabel (Settings -> Milestones).
If you have a huge number of projects with a lot of milestones, the milestone list gets very confusing. It would be nice if milestones could be defined directly in the project settings or maybe in the timeline view where you can add bookings or events to a project.
We also would like to see a better way of filtering the list of milestones (e.g. by project, by project group, by date).
3 votesWe have updated milestones in the latest release. https://hubplanner.com/new-scheduler-2-0-released/

Edit color for project bookings by right clicking on bookings
We have personnel working in the workshop (7,5 hour days) preparing the equipment and we have the same pool of personnel that operates the equipment on site at our customer locations (12 hour days).
It would really be beneficial to be able to edit the project bookings by right clicking on a booking. Just like the other options you get when you right click a booking. That would visually show instantly if our personnel are planned for workshop work or work somewhere else.

Ability to track on-site and off-site work hours
Our teams often work both on-site (at the client) and off-site (at our offices). So a team member may be allocated at 40h per week to a project, of which 24h are on-site and 16h are off-site.
It's very important for us to track when a team member works on-site as we also have to take into account time for travel, etc.
9 votesYou can now do this via our Booking Categories and Brand new Timesheets just released today. You can create a booking category for Onsite and Offsite and then book time with that category, or have your team add the category when reporting time in timesheets. This can then be reported in reports.

Assign skills to projects and look for available employees that match the skills
Assign skills to projects and look for available employees that match the skills.
Build a project and assign generic resources by skill then provide UI to allow user to search for employees that match those skills and see their availability.1 voteI added a note to the ticket.
