Send an email notification to resources
Why don't send an email notification to every resource in the morning filled with his tasks/projects to do today
We are using a lot of tools in our daily business and we (the project managers) know that our resources won't use another tool. They would prefer to receive an email notification with their daily amount to do:
- Which project / projects (including the notes to this project)
- Which time ammount60 votes -
Dependencies on Tasks
It would be nice to be able to move the project as a whole by adding dependencies to tasks. For example, design is dependent on wireframes; therefore when connecting them they will move together in the project when the schedule is changed. Without this you have to move each individual task as the schedule changes and that could be up to 10 tasks in one.

Moving entire projects in time
For project based work, it would be handy to be able to move entire projects back or forward in time (all resources at once), and see the effect of that change on capacity.

Public Holidays per Country / User
I work for a global company and managing teams in different countries. We need to have Public Holidays specifically for each country and not all grouped together. At the moment it is showing I have so many public holidays (Hong Kong, Singapore and London)! Great as i dont need to work much now. ;0) Please make specific for each person in a company.

Vacation request option
We really need our staff to be able to request time for vacation, which when authorised automatically populated within their timeline. Detailing if any other staff are of during selected dates would help reduce conflicts on projects/sites
A running total of authorised vacation dates would also be fantastic.
Currently using email and spreadsheets 44 votesPlease see here for details https://hubplanner.com/vacation-annual-leave-requests-new-resource-request-approval-workflow-added-hub-planner/

API
An API for pulling data into other systems. We have a status board where we pull in data from several services. Adding hubplanner would be killer.

Sync Calendar
Will be very useful to add a connector to sync schedule of employees into their own calendar. Sync to Google calendar should be nice, Activesync (Exchange calendar) will be the top to attract enterprise customer.

Notifications for project changes
Notifications for project changes - project managers and managers would like to know when there are changes to projects as they need to know if their are shifts with the resources. It would be great to have the ability to send out notifications through email when these things happen. I can think of several ways this could be accomplished - set up a group called "Managers" and apply those that should receive notifications to that group. Or allow managers to subscribe to projects and/or resource groups. Then they would see updates on things they wanted to see vs. seeing everything.…

Harvest API integration
At Kersvers we use Harvest to measure time on projects. I would really love to see a way to integrate Harvest in Hubplanner. That way we can combine Time, Resources and measure how resources are using their time. The missing link imo. :)
31 votesWe have documented an example using our API how you can integrate Hub Planner with Harvest. We look forward to hearing about your integrations https://github.com/hubplanner/API/tree/master/Examples/harvest

Custom rate per resource per project
So we can do the following:
Project A > Resource A = $150 / h
Project A > Resource B = $180 / hProject B > Resource A = $120 / h
Project B > Resource B = $110 / hSo a same resource could have a different rates per projects.

Overtime- / Vacation-Tracker = Know how many work-free-days one has.
It should be possible to enter given Freetime-/Vacation-Days for any person (eg. 25 Days per year. Offical Country-Holiday eg. Christmas not included). Then, in an overview (Dasboard or Report) the selected member can have a look, how many Vacation-days he has left. In that same overview, the whole overtime should also be added. Meaning: in the end, every member can check how many Overtime/Vacation-days he/she has. With the look at only one calculated number everyone can check how many hours/Days he/she has left for leisure.

Timesheet - "Submit All" button to submit ALL time entries for the week not just that line
Its cumbersome having to sumbit each line and save each note indivdually. It would be great to just say "submit all" and be done. All notes, all entries are saved.

Audit log to identify who made a scheduling change
The ability to be able to identify who made a booking change and when. This could act as a history of who scheduled, edited, or deleted a booking. Ideally this could be filtered/searched based on a project or resource.
25 votesHi there,
As promised!
Introducing the Hub Planner Audit Log. Now users can access an Audit Log of Hub Planner changes in the Resource Management system.
The Hub Planner Audit log will provide the complete history log of any activity being performed in Hub Planner, by all users. Activities such as changes to a project booking, creating new resources or deleting a project when resource scheduling and project planning.
This is the first stage in the Audit Log, we hope to include more features and functions in future releases. Take a look here: https://hubplanner.com/hub-planner-audit-log/
Happy to hear any feedback you have too.
Best regards,
Helen

Milestones Report
It would be great to pull a list of all Milestones across projects. This would allow my team to look at all upcoming client meetings/events that we categorize under milestones.
Thank you!

Right click to do things like change or delete time.
Webapps should behave like desktop apps. That means that you can do things to items by right clicking on them, rather than having to choose a menu item.
21 votesVery happy to say this is now completed. Read more on our blog here http://hubplanner.com/powerful-right-click-menu-application-shortcuts

Mark time entries (and bookings) as billable or non-billable
A check box in both a booking and time entries to mark them as billable or non-billable. In the case of the booking, the resoure will know if it is billable or not. In the case of time entries, one can run a report (say weekly) to find all billable time and accounts can issue invoices accordingly.

Associate Rates with Resources
Being able to allocate a budget to a project is great but day rates vary across resources and experience. Some resources are charged at different rates and this will affect the overall budget. This would also have to be time dependant as the price of resources changes as they become more experienced.
