What's Next for Hub Planner?

Below you can help shape the functionality of Hub Planner by suggesting your idea. We want to make sure we are listening to the users of Hub Planner and incorporating your Feedback within our Project Roadmap.

  1. Add Bookings to Project Dashboards

    Customize project dashboard data including adding the bookings/ booking titles to the options in the project dashboards. You can see tasks right now but nothing to do with bookings or booking titles. As we don't use the tasks but rather booking's to schedule this makes the project dashboards virtually unusable to our organization.

  2. Ability to enter custom work hours in the wand menu like 7:30

    Just add a custom input so you can define your hours in the wand that applies working hours for multiple days.

  3. Custom field - Bulk add and Auto order the Select (drop down list) option

    When adding the custom field with Select field option, currently users need to add one by one.

    Suggestions are:


    • Text area where users can copy and paste the existing list from elsewhere. Each option is on a separate line. This will be more efficient if the list is big.


    • Auto alphabetically order option in case . Currently if I add an item to the list, there's no way I can rearrange the order of the list unless I start from scratch.

  6. Ability to assign soft and hard commitments to resources.

    This would help a project manager to prioritize workflow and be able to move around resources and change allocations based on resources availability.

  7. It would be very nice to have a notification when you delete an item which has a note.

    So you don't lose the input when you accidentaly delete a booking

  8. Select a previously uploaded project image from uploaded gallery

    This way assets can be reused and shared across projects.

  9. Project Code in the Scheduler

    Add the ability to see the project code next to or below the project name or even replace the project name in the scheduler. There is a setting that says you can add the code to show in the scheduler but it only shows if you hover over the booking title. We would like it to show in the booking modal, scheduler assignment menu when assigning a new project, and have the control to place the project code where it's most helpful (for us that's the beginning of the booking data), etc.

  10. Ability to customise the Invite Email

    It would be useful at some point if it was possible to customise the standard Invite Email. For example, I would like to add info who to contact for internal support and how to first set up your account (iCal sync, My Preferences etc).

  11. Stop watch functionality

    so resources can time how long they spend on a job. Harvest does this and our designers find it really helpful as otherwise it becomes a bit of a guessing game

  12. Do not show actions/features in menu's that a user has no permission for.

    For instance: a team member is not allowed to request a resource. He is, however, able to click this action and will be confronted with a page that he has no access permissions.

  13. Two-level bookings on team and person

    Being a team of around 30 developers, we recently changed our overall resource planning to only schedule teams. So if a new project comes in, it is assigned a team for a period of time.

    And then it is up the project/team manager and the team to plan individual tasks within the team.

    I have searched everywhere and I can't find any tool that supports this model. An overall look at teams on a timeline and with the ability to zoom into a specific team and look at tasks within the team.

    I'm sure much bigger development departments are not…

  16. Create Mobile App

    Create a mobile app so we can stay logged in with easy access instead of saving the browser or having to login to the browser repeatedly. Also, increase the amount of changes you can make in the format/layout of the mobile browser/app layout. There isn't anything in the settings that allows us to customize our instance's mobile functionality.

  17. Feedback on the dashboard amendment

    New amendment at the dashboard shows the time allocation first in each row (e.g. 40 total hours in 11 days) before the project name - this actually hinders the overview of different project names across teammates. It might be better for users to choose to display the time allocation or the project name first in each project row

  18. Currency converter within HubPlanner

    We have resources scheduled on multiple projects that have different currencies. So when we run reports on spending some results are shown as 'mixed rates used' which make these reports unusable. And maybe give an option for a default currencies that your company works in, when setting up the HubPlanner account

  20. Sync calendar time slots to timesheet

    Within my Outlook calendar I would allocated time to jobs/projects. It would be great to have a function that imports these into the timesheets section of HUb Planner with the added option to approve or edit the job/times that we allocated in our calendar
